The L08 module is an ultrasonic underwater obstacle avoidance sensor designed based on underwater application, with a series of advantages like small size, small blind spot, good waterproof performance. It supports modbus protocol and the baud rate parameters can be modified accordingly.

Product Features
The DYP-L08 ultrasonic sensor, designed for underwater pool cleaning robots, offers several key features. It operates on a low voltage power supply, with an operating voltage ranging from 3.3 to 5V, ensuring energy - efficient performance suitable for battery - powered robotic devices. The sensor can function stably within a wide temperature range of - 15℃ to 55℃, making it adaptable to various environmental conditions.
One of its most notable features is the IP68 waterproof rating, which allows it to be fully submerged in water for extended periods without damage, a crucial requirement for underwater applications like pool cleaning. Its small size facilitates easy integration into the compact design of pool cleaning robots.
In terms of measurement capabilities, the DYP - L08 has a minimum blind zone of 5cm, enabling accurate detection of nearby objects or surfaces. It can measure distances from 5cm to 1000cm, providing a broad detection range for effective navigation and obstacle avoidance in pool environments. For the L08B variant, the minimum blind zone is 8cm, and the measurement range starts from 8cm.
The sensor offers flexible output options with UART and RS485 interfaces, allowing seamless communication with the robot's control system. It also supports modification of the module baud rate, enhancing compatibility with different control units. Additionally, it supports offline remote upgrade, which simplifies maintenance and enables the implementation of new features or improvements.
For reliability, the DYP - L08 is equipped with electrostatic protection. The UART output is protected up to 4KV, complying with the JESD22 - A114 standard (human body model), while the RS485 output offers a higher protection level of ±8KV, in accordance with the IEC61000 - 4 - 2 standard (contact discharge model). These features ensure stable operation even in environments prone to electrostatic interference.

Matters Needing Attention
1. Please pay attention to the structural tolerances when designing. Unreasonable structural design may cause transient abnormalities in module functions;
2. Please pay attention to the evaluation of electromagnetic compatibility when designing. Unreasonable system design may cause abnormal module function;
3. Other external factors interfere with ultrasonic transmission, which may cause the ultrasonic transmission to be mismeasured or impossible to measure, such as bubbles, turbidity, high velocity vortex water, mixtures of different media, etc.;
4. When the boundary application of the product limit parameter is involved, you can contact our FAE to confirm the relevant precautions.
Packaging Specification
1. The default is Dianyingpu's conventional packaging method;
2. Packaging materials can be customized according to customer IQC related standards;
3. The container transportation method needs to adopt the staggered consolidation method, and at the same time, the outer edge of the single stack needs to be wrapped with a reinforced gusset to provide sufficient support.
