The DS1603DA ultrasonic liquid level data sensor series breaks through the traditional installation method of opening cans and realizes the real non-contact measurement of the liquid level in a closed container. The sensor is installed directly below (bottom) of the container under test to detect the height of the liquid level. There is no need to open holes for the container to be tested, and the installation is simple and online installation can be realized. It can accurately measure the level of various toxic substances, strong acids, strong alkalis and various pure liquids in high temperature and high pressure airtight containers. The sensor has no special requirements for the material of the liquid medium and container, and can be widely used.

Principle Explanation

1. Externally Attached Ultrasonic Liquid Level Sensor

The externally attached ultrasonic level sensor for water tank adopts the principle of ultrasonic distance measurement, uses a special probe attached to the outside of the container wall to collect ultrasonic signals, uses special ultrasonic processing technology as the core of the system, adopts advanced high-speed signal processing technology, and uses special algorithms of Dianpingpu Accurately calculate the inside of the container Liquid level. The sensor can feedback the measurement result to the control center through UART serial port or RS485 output interface.

When measuring the liquid level, the ultrasonic signal is emitted from the probe, and the echo signal is detected by the probe after being reflected by the liquid surface. The echo signal is processed by a proprietary algorithm to calculate the time, and the system calculates the liquid level according to the formula or confirms whether there is liquid.

2. Level Measurement

It is necessary to measure 100% reliable and stable liquid level value, and ensure that the measured object is within the effective range of the sensor. Most users find that the sensor can also measure in the blind zone or outside the range. Due to the physical characteristics of ultrasonic waves, for different measurement objects, the company does not guarantee the accuracy of the measurement range value.

Note

(1) Regardless of the value of the sensor's address, once a data frame with an address value of 0xff is received, it will respond according to the command feature code of the data frame, and the response address value is the local address value, not 0xff.

(2) When using the broadcast address when using the 0x03 command, 0xff will not be set as the sensor address, only the current address value of the sensor will be returned. 

(3) The broadcast address can be used when the address of the sensor cannot be obtained, and the address of the current sensor can be obtained according to the address bit of the reply data frame.

(4) The broadcast address cannot be used on a bus with multiple sensors, otherwise multiple modules will respond at the same time and cause the bus communication to fail. It can only be used in the case of one host for one sensor.
