A13-module is a module that uses ultrasonic sensing technology with reflective structure for distance measurement. The module adopts high-performance processor and high-quality components, the product is stable and reliable, and has a long service life. This module is a high-performance, high-reliability, commercial-grade functional module specially developed and developed for the trash bin testing solution. The stable distance of the dustbin measured by the module is 25~200cm.

Remarks:
(1) Typical data obtained by testing with temperature 25±5°C, humidity 65% RH, power supply 5.0V, 500ms duty cycle.
(2) The temperature is 25±5°C, the humidity is 65% RH, and the measured object is a 50cm×60cm flat carton. S represents the measurement distance. The detection starting point of the module is calculated from the reflective shell surface by default.
(3) The temperature is 25±5°C, the humidity is 65% RH, and the measured object is the reference data obtained from the test of a φ75mm×100cm white PVC pipe with a distance of 100cm.
Product Features
DYP-A13ultrasonic sensor features a reflective structure, ensuring high sensitivity for long-distance measurement with a narrow detection angle. It offers high stability with repeatability within 5mm, supporting a wide voltage supply range of 3.3~24V. The low-power design maintains a quiescent current of <10μA and a measurement state current of <8mA (under UART automatic mode with 5V power supply).
With versatile output options including UART, PWM, RS485, and switch output, it ensures strong interface adaptability. The onboard temperature compensation function automatically corrects measurement errors caused by temperature fluctuations, enabling stable ranging from -15°C to +60°C. Equipped with electrostatic protection on output leads compliant with IEC61000-4-2 standards, the sensor operates reliably within the -15°C to +60°C temperature range.

Matters Needing Attention
1. Please pay attention to structural tolerances when designing. Unreasonable structural design may cause transient abnormalities in module functions.
2. Please pay attention to the evaluation of electromagnetic compatibility when designing. Unreasonable system design may cause malfunction of the module.
3. When the boundary application of the product limit parameter is involved, you can contact our FAE to confirm the relevant precautions.
Special Instruction
The module will set a threshold at the factory, the default is 1 meter (flat), 0.5 meter (human body). The module conducts distance measurement every 120~130ms (plane) and 110ms (human body). When the distance value of the detected target is less than the set threshold, TX pin outputs high level and RX pin outputs low level; the currently detected distance value is greater than the set threshold, TX pin outputs low level, RX pin outputs high level. In order to improve the stability, the factory defaults that the distance value of the target detected for 3 consecutive times is less than the set threshold value is judged as the detected target distance is less than the set threshold value; the distance value of the target detected 5 consecutive times is greater than the set threshold. The threshold value determines that the detected target distance is greater than the set threshold value. The TX and RX pins of the module only output high and low level signals and have no drive capability. If there are special requirements that need to modify the threshold or other settings, special instructions should be given when purchasing.
Note : The real-time value or processed value output is judged when the module is powered on, and must be powered on again if switching is required.
